1. Indoor Standards
Indoor noise standards can be divided into two categories: residential and non-residential. Generally, it should not be lower than the environmental noise standard of 20 decibels. China's indoor standards for residential buildings are 10 decibels lower than the local environmental noise standards because there are more small factories near Chinese cities. The indoor noise standards for non-residential buildings are based on the use of the room.
2. Outdoor Standards
The annoyance of environmental noise is the interference of conversation, thinking, sleep and rest. The special residential areas in China's environmental noise standards refer to residential areas that particularly require quietness, such as sanatorium sound insulation boards, high-end hotel area sound insulation boards, etc.; Residential, cultural and educational areas refer to purely residential areas, cultural, educational and institutional areas;
Mixed areas refer to mixed areas of general commercial and residential areas.
The second category of mixed areas refers to mixed areas with less industry, commerce, transportation and residents.
The central business district refers to the bustling areas where businesses are concentrated; the industrial concentrated area refers to the industrial areas designated by the local government; the two sides of the main traffic lines refer to the sides of the roads with more than 100 vehicles per hour. The standard value is the allowable outdoor noise level. The sound insulation board measurement point is located 1 meter outside the window of the noise-affected residential building and 1.2 meters above the ground. For noise that frequently occurs at night, the peak value shall not exceed the standard value by 10 decibels. For occasional noise at night, its peak value shall not exceed the standard value by 15 decibels.
